The Reader's Take...
What do you think? |
|
Mr. Sheffield: I loved the article you wrote for the Columbia, MS newspaper and wish U would write more of them. Also, I think U ought to teach a creative writing class. Please write more for this newspaper. CM
Thank You so very much , each week I look forward to reading an amazing story. They all are great but I think I love this one the best so far.
Have a great day and take care

Comment: I really enjoy reading your column each week in the Greene County Herald.(Leakesville, MS) You always have a great story and relation to others. Thank you for the uplifting and humorous message you deliver. Chere |
Would you mind if I shared your coaching commentary with my T-ball team? We had an incident last night at a game and I believe some of the parents need a little reminder of why we are there! Necia Cuesta |
I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

I chose not to share my name because I wanted to represent the MANY people who are being deeply touched by your stories. God is using you in a very unique way to share His truths through everyday events. While these hilarious stories are vastly entertaining, they also allow each reader to relate in a very personal way. Be encouraged and keep up the great work for Jesus! A brother in Christ ______________________________________________________________________

I laughed right out loud when you said the door didn't slam yet and you were telling on Heath. I love your stories and the messages they send.
love

I wanted to share with you something someone said to me yesterday. A woman in our Memphis office said that you were one of the best writers our paper has ever had. She said that you were her favorite and that your column was the first she turned to every week. Keep up the good work. Sonia Alexander Hill |

You just don't know how I needed this or it just plainly came from God through you. I must be of good cheer to get me through all that I am going through. Please keep and continue to pray for me. Thanks Moni |

These bites of strength and encouragement from our Lord through you are just the mid-week mini-feast my soul needs when it seems work, home, family and world tap into me and draw.......and draw....and I'm drained. Thanks for the warrior drive to give the light through a secular service. YOUR HONESTY really moves me. Joyce Glover |

This is a great story Guy, I really like the way it pulled me into it. -Mike.
God is moving, let us move with Him. These stories pump me up.

Aren’t you glad that we know how the story ends, & that we win thanks to Jesus? It’s amazing, when I speak with fellow saints how little they anticipate, know, or are comfortable discussing heaven, the King, what it will be like, etc. when, as saints, we’ve an eternal reservation there! For me, it’s like knowing you are going on the best vacation, it’s already booked, it’s paid for by Him, & it’s in my Outlook. Thanks for sharing, as you do. Bests! Hey Guy, Praise the Lord, this is a wonderful story, they all are but this one is just a little more so. The Jesus connection, the real life connection, the father daughter connection, a fun story, a simple story with allot of connections. Benny |

I am still enjoying the articles. They make me laugh and visualize the situation many times and then they wind up making me think about the eternal slant on our life's situation. Thanks Guy! AJ |

Guy Man I love your stories. I want to put a page on the youth site called "Real Life" If you have anything that you would like to submit let me know and also if I can once in a while use your stories that you send out "But Anyway". I love you brother and all that you do for the Kingdom. Ted Linn |

Your article this week must have been about almost all male siblings (or maybe you know my sons!). Only they haven't overcome themselves as you and Heath seem to have done. Clever writing, again, as usual and a genuine nugget of insight found in the digs!!! You're enthusiasm is contagious and uplifting. Bless you and your family always. Joyce |
Good stuff brother...keep teaching and reaching.

That's great Guy... I can see why writing about those times can be really therapeutic... we all have stories like that, that put smiles on our faces and make us appreciate the really important people in our lives. Keep it up... Lucie |
Sometimes we forget prayer is a “dialogue” and not a “monologue”. And when WE don’t get what WE think is best for US, that’s when we think our prayers haven’t been answered THE RIGHT WAY. I have to think God sometimes giggles (or rolls his eyes) at what we think is that right way. Thanks for sharing, Guy.

Guy, Awesome article this week. I read the “meaning of life” scripture, it is truly the meaning of life. Below is Col 1:15-17 from The Message 15 We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God's original purpose in everything created. 16 For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels--everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. 17 He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. I feel so privileged to have read this BEFORE it was hot off the press! (Just Kidding) This is a great article and a GREAT way to spread the message of Christ. I think that what you're doing is awesome. I am really inspired that you are always looking for ways to win people to the Lord! God is really using you and your family and your ministry in these last days. I am sending this to everyone I know! Lane Taylor

Geez… your writings are getting better and better. Extremely descriptive! I think its time for a book “Chronicles of Guy Sheffield”.
This was very timely. Keep em coming!

That "But Anyway" was great Guy. It reminds me that I need to live by the Spirit and not by my flesh. More and more I see that my needs are more spiritual than natural. Love you man. Great Story. Mike Taylor Jr.

Well written, as usual, & to the heart. God’s kindness trumps our imagination most of the time! Bests!

This one is hilariously true, as well as sharply convicting. You have a real gift of humiliating yourself (and me at times J) for the benefit of others… Keep up the salty work my brother! God has truly blessed you with a gift for writing!
Heath
Reply from Guy:
You have the same gift dummy.
