After reading about Guy’s numerous misfortunes and self induced calamities you will leave keenly aware that all the glory for his rise to a position of influence for God’s Kingdom could only be laid at the feet of Jesus! Guy is a man that’s done it all; ALL WRONG! However, you won’t be able to deny that God has gifted him to write. Guy Sheffield clearly embraces the power of a simple story. He understands its ability to speak to a guarded heart, as was first demonstrated by the Master Jesus in His parables.
Besides having written over ninety “But Anyway…” stories, which are published weekly in several newspapers across the south, Guy is now the president of the non-profit music ministry SoulFood. Additionally, he is involved in local jail, nursing home, and door to door evangelical ministries, and resides on the board of a non-profit Christian residential recovery program in Memphis Tennessee called Warrior Ministries. He is also very active in his Church as the music director and Youth leader. He can often be found coaching local youth basketball and football programs.
Guy resides in Hernando Mississippi with his wife Angie and their two children Kailey and Joshua. He works along with his brother Heath at Power & Telephone Supply Company in Memphis.
